Colored pencil diagram of the San Andreas Fault showing Pacific and North American tectonic plates, mountains, sun, and clouds.

I focused on the San Andreas Fault and the tectonic processes that shape it. My drawing shows the Pacific Plate and the North American Plate sliding past each other along the fault, represented by a red wavy line across a mountainous landscape. The mountains symbolize the uplift and deformation caused by millions of years of horizontal plate motion. I used arrows to show the direction of movement of each tectonic plate and added artistic elements like a bright sun and clouds to create a lively background. This connection between tectonic forces and surface features highlights how deep Earth processes shape the face of the planet. See more
