Part 1: your personal goals and objectives as a future landscape architect and your statement/position statement on a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the profession ( ~500 words) Growing up in Bronx, NY and CT, on and off, was like a light switch. In CT, I experienced a attentive environment but with a lack of people like me, which made me feel isolated and out of the box. But in the Bronx, the neighborhood is historically underserved, which I felt was the quality of life of myself and the people around me. A common theme I recognized that this particular barrier was between people of color and white Americans What I wanted for my future was always unclear. At home, I never knew what would happen next. My parents, who immigrated to this country without the privilege of higher education, worked tirelessly to provide stability. Still, the unpredictability of life made it difficult for me to imagine a fulfilling future. For a long time, my only dream was to be rich because wealth seemed like the only path to freedom and security. As I got older, I learned that interest and passion are the actual things that could motivate me. So I started exploring arts after graduating high school.
