solar mount is to use a pair of 180 ° inter‑locking discs on top of the main pole: Upper disc: fixed to the solar‑panel frame. Lower disc: fixed to the pole‑top adaptor. Mating teeth/serrations every 10 ° (or a simple hole + pin pattern) allow the upper disc to rotate through a full 180 ° sweep before clamping. This would let us swing the panel until it points precisely to true North, then lock it in place with two M8 clamp bolts. It’s simple to machine from 8 mm aluminium plate and keeps the profile compact while still giving robust positioning. See more
