A long time ago, in the land of Egypt, there lived a powerful king called Pharaoh. He was cruel, and he ordered that the baby boys of the Israelites be killed. One of those babies was Musa. His mother, full of faith in Allah, placed him gently in a basket and let the river carry him. By Allah’s plan, the basket floated to Pharaoh’s palace, where Musa was taken in and raised like a prince. Years passed, and Musa grew into a strong young man. One day, while trying to protect someone, he struck an Egyptian and the man died. Afraid, Musa fled into the desert. There, he lived in peace, married, and worked as a shepherd. One night, while guiding his sheep, Musa saw a strange light on Mount Sinai. As he came closer, he heard the voice of Allah speaking to him. Allah chose Musa as His prophet and gave him miracles—like turning his staff into a serpent—to show Pharaoh. Musa returned to Egypt with his brother Harun. Together they stood before Pharaoh and asked him to free the Israelites. But Pharaoh was proud and refused. Allah sent many signs, yet Pharaoh’s heart stayed hard. Finally, Musa led his people away. Pharaoh chased them with his army, but when they reached the sea, Allah commanded Musa to strike it with his staff. The sea split into two walls of water, and the Israelites walked safely through.
