This is another "Virtual Lab" assignment. You are to envision a murder scene in your own home or apartment! You can also include a "body" in the room if you wish (not actually though.....ok?). As the investigator, you must make a Rough Sketch of the room you pick as the "crime scene" room (i.e., any room except a closet or bathroom), including as much detail as possible including tables, chairs, doors, windows, bed, etc. If you examine Figure 2-11, Page 39, Chapter 2 of your textbook, it will give you an idea of what a Rough Sketch should contain. Note that all of the dimensional data is written there. You can use a tape measure or any ruler in order to obtain all of your measurements. Also, please note that the Rough Sketch is a floor plan as though you were looking down from the ceiling. After the Rough Sketch is drawn, a Formal (Court-Ready) Drawing of the crime scene will be constructed next. Please examine Figure 2-12, Page 40, Chapter 2 of your textbook to see exactly how I would like this drawing to be constructed. It should be neatly constructed! It would be helpful to label the various items in the room, but, since it will be drawn to scale, no dimensional numbers that you indicated in the Rough Sketch are to be presented in the Formal Drawing. Also, please note that the final drawing must be constructed as neat as possible and contain an indicated scale used (ex. 1" = 10'). So, I will be looking for pictures of two (2) drawings: 1) Rough Sketch and, 2) Formal See more
