Materials Needed for the Grow Box Plywood / MDF / Triplex sheets – for walls, floor, and ceiling Hinges – for the main door Screws / nails / brackets – to assemble the box Acrylic sheet / small plexiglass window – for the inspection/peek window Ventilation fan / duct – for airflow Air inlet holes / mesh – for passive intake Hooks / chains – to hang lights Grow lights / LED / CFL Reflective material (like Mylar or aluminum foil) – to line the interior Power strip – for lights and fans Thermometer / hygrometer – to monitor temperature and humidity Dimensions & Cut-Outs (example for a small to medium box, adjust as needed) Box size: 60 cm width × 60 cm depth × 120 cm height Door: 50 cm × 100 cm (front panel) – hinged for easy access Peek window: 15 cm × 15 cm – can be placed on the door Ventilation holes: Inlet: 2 holes, 5–7 cm diameter each, near bottom sides Outlet: 1 hole, 10 cm diameter, near top back for fan Light hanging points: 4 hooks on top panel, spaced evenly Step-by-Step Cutting / Assembly (Simplified) Cut walls, top, and bottom panels from plywood/triplex to size. Cut door panel from the front wall panel. Cut small peek window from door panel. Install plexiglass. Drill ventilation holes at top and bottom panels. Attach hinges to door and main box. Line interior with reflective material. Install hooks for lights and hang lights. Place fan on outlet hole and mesh on inlet holes. See more
