It was a sunny day in the city of Delphos, the city of sun, of the sun god Apollo. The ancient Greek island where long golden shadows reflected from Marbled buildings like polished shells, and the shore hugging streets stayed filled by vendors and tourists from all around the ancient realm; humans, nymphs, centours, demigods, and all sorts of mythical creatures. There she stood, just outside the temple where Apollo perched high, her hands wrapped around the hilt of her father’s lyre. She wasn't supposed to be up there, but then again, she had been doing many things she wasn’t supposed to. “Elara! Lara! What are you doing here? I've been looking for you everywhere.” She's been caught. Slowly Elara turned to her side, afraid of who she might find, but was pleasantly surprised. Her best friend, Coral—a nymph sculptor whose laugh sounded like bubbles—waited with arms crossed. “How do you know?” Elara was suspicious of this tale, somehow the daughter of a god had an ironic disbelief in mysticality. But the wind brushed her cheek, it was warm, and it whispered in her ear. It was always whispering—Delphos was a city of whispers, of secrets half-spoken and rumors carried on by sea breeze, most likely the way the whole town seemed to know about the return of the sea turtle.
