St. Lucy’s House is named after Sister Lucy Chan. Sister Chan was born in 1888 and joined the seminary in 1906. She has been engaged in rural missionary and educational work for many years. She lived a hard life when she founded the Sisters of the Precious Blood together with Sister Clare Tam, the founder of the order. During World War II, Sister Chan served as the general president and led other nuns to care for the poor and abandoned people, adopt abandoned babies, raise orphans, and donate medicine and medicine to the sick. After the war, Sister Chan opened an orphanage, founded a school, and built a hospital. From 1967 to 1978, she lived in the dormitory of Holy Trinity College. He died in 1978 at the age of 90. Sister Chan has dedicated her life to society and sacrificed herself for others. This spirit is truly worthy of our admiration and learning. See more
