A color photography of a post modern school chapel, in a 3:2 vertical format. The main subject is a close-up on the altar. It is a concrete oval altar taken from 3/4 left taken approximately at 3 meters distance. Behind the altar is also a lightly curved concrete wall that determines the end of the room. The altar is in an oval sort of conversation pit, so people can sit on the side of the space around it. We can only see the right part of it, because it’s zoomed on the altar. The ground inside this sort of conversation pit is divided by spaced lines on the concrete that crosses each other. The base of the altar is rectangular, but the table of the altar is oval, with a white tablecloth over it. On this altar lays a bible on a little wooden lectern, turned towards the room, and not the wall behind like it would be normal for a celebration. On each side of it are 3 very minimalistic candlestick connected at the base. The candles on it are not so high but rather thick and unused. The base of the candles are approximately at the height of the altar. In front of the altar, on the ground, lays a dozen of rocks of different sizes, some of which, on the front right, are in a little vase. Amongst these rocks is also a little bouquet of dried grass, that do not have a saturated color, they appear to be a very shut green. This bouquet lays almost vertically, leaning towards the altar, and have a height of approximately the ground to the end of the tablecloth of the altar. In the See more
