Please propose a ceiling design for a Coptic Orthodox Church that includes small icons of the apostles on radius-top panels on the two sides of a barrel vault. The barrel vault is 30’ wide and 100’ long. The barrel vault peaks at 14.5’ from the ground. There are 4 columns on each side of the barrel vault. The curve of the vault starts at the top of the columns which is 11.5’ from the ground. Use a combination of walnut wood and incorporate some orthodox stenciling in the design. Add dark blues and maroon colors. Do not use too much wood and stenciling. Please add some carving to the walnut wood. It’s acceptable to add minor elements of off-white stone pavers. See more
