Catastrophe Jim is a small orange nut weevil with a head relatively small compared to his body. He has a long rostrum with antennae on each side and a mouth with mouthparts that work like a humans on the end of it, just like the Flies and the bumblebee Yard in this cartoon. His limbs, antennae and abdomen are orange, with the abdomen being a more yellow shade than the other aforementioned and his limbs being a slightly duller colour. Similar to some other characters in his series of origin, he stands on his two hind legs and uses his middle and forelegs as arms. He also has elytron, the hardened forewings of beetles, suggesting he also has wings. Exclusively to the episode "Lost Louse," he wears a silver louseproof hat, as seen in the image in his infobox.
