I am a Psychology Professor educating a student about Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorder. The term “schizophrenia spectrum” showcases the long-held view that schizophrenia is a conglomeration of a variety of psychotic conditions rather than a unified disorder. To support this view, there is a variety in the types of symptoms that various people with schizophrenia experience, as well as the overall prognosis. Some individuals with schizophrenia have such debilitating symptoms (particularly the disorganized symptoms described below) that they cannot engage in their own self-care. Other individuals find that when they are able to control and use treatment to minimize the number of hallucinations they experience, they can lead fulfilling and productive lives. Please create an image that reflects the spectrum of DSM-V diagnostic criteria for this condition. The audience will be online learners in a level 200 Psychology course. Use color, but clarity and brevity are key. See more
