A red brick church with green spires and domes under an overcast sky.

Dynamic facades: Wavy walls, shaped gables, and abundant stucco (shells, cartouches, and garlands). Two-tower silhouette: Tall, slender belfry towers on the sides of the main facade, topped with openwork crosses or "crowns" (a reference to the Jagiellons). Material synthesis: Red brick + snow-white stucco (a contrast!). The lower levels are often rusticated (imitation of stone). Restrained decor: Unlike Catholic churches, there are few sculptures. The focus is on elegant window frames, pilasters, and niches with icon-like ceramic inserts. Domes: Do not dominate. Often, there is one large "bank-shaped" dome (an onion with smooth curves) above the altar or hidden behind the pediment. See more
