is the universe conscious? firstly, one of the arguments for there being a "god" is that the universe is kinda perfectly fine tuned. we've calculated and if anything was off about the gravitational constant, nuclear force or electron charge. the entire universe would cease to exist/would have never existed in the first place & recently we've found some things in space which heavily points to the idea that there was a universe before the big bang, and to the idea that our entire universe is inside of a blackhole. Suggesting that when the universe has lived its 10 to the power of 78 years and is reaching final heat death, the universe just seemingly makes a new one. A new incredibly finely tuned universe. And I do not believe in god, but I am heavily interested in the idea that possibly all things can be conscious. 'Panpsychism proposes that consciousness is not unique to humans or even living beings, but is a fundamental property of all matter, from electrons to galaxies'. Because we are just the same matter as the floor we walk on, the same matter as the little microbes. and somewhere alogn the way the matter gained a consciousness. whats to say the thing which made matter isnt conscious itself.
