Physical Characteristics Body Structure: Resembling a Night Fury with significant alien adaptations. Tail Vents: Instead of standard wing-fins, Comet-Furies have vented propulsion organs. These shell- or scroll-like openings serve as thruster ports for fire-based space propulsion. Vulnerability: Damage to the vents results in a total loss of interstellar mobility. Healing is uncertain and may not fully restore function. Fangs & Venom: Comet-Furies have extendable fangs and venomous bites, alongside venomous sting-tendrils. Communication: While largely silent, Comet-Furies use bioluminescent markings to communicate in space. In emergencies, they emit a frequency-based roar—The Call—detectable by radar and sensitive species. Coloration: Hatchlings are gold. Adults transition to a blue-black sheen with gold highlights (ears, spines, tendrils). Rare mutations (see: Goldies) retain gold coloration. Bioluminescence: Gold parts of the body glow to communicate or signal. Fire Type: Plasma-based, used both in combat and for propulsion. See more
