Jesika´s Christmas 2125 It was the 23rd. December 2125. Jesika looked at the street. The snow hologram reflected the light exactly in her eyes. Everything looked snowy and reindeer and sleds were projected on the walls of the houses. The new I-Phone 601 was displayed on every second advertising board. There was no light in the house opposite, yet Jesika saw a shadow rushing past the window. Then Luis, her best friend, also waved out the window. Jesika was 16, a normal girl at least that's how it seemed. In truth, she often felt different. Her parents worked as technicians on the atmosphere control, and for weeks they had hardly been at home. Everything in the city was set to maximum energy savings – including the people. Feelings were now considered a "waste of energy". But Jesika couldn't do anything about it – she loved Christmas. Every year she decorated her room with real mementos: an old, scratched Christmas tree ball from her grandmother, a paper star from childhood, and a small wooden reindeer that she had found at an old flea market in the "Altzone".
