"A historically accurate, authentic 'Rottaler Bauernhaus' located in the Lower Bavarian region of Rottal-Inn, Germany. The architecture must be realistic, robust, and free of kitsch. It is a dominant two-story structure, part of a closed 'Vierseithof' (four-sided courtyard). The ground floor is partially masonry (whitewashed), and the upper floor is exclusively traditional 'Blockbau' (log construction) with exposed dark wood beams. The defining feature is the wide, functional wraparound balcony ('Schrot') on the second floor, supported by simple, sturdy, turned wooden posts, shaded by a large, low-pitched red-tiled gabled roof that extends far over the facade. No ornamental 'Lüftlmalerei' or typical high-alpine chalet features. The setting is a realistic, rural, gentle hilly landscape with no mountains in the background. Natural, authentic lighting, documentary style. The "Giebel" is over the longest side of the house" See more
