During the day, I carried an umbrella, but the rain and wind slyly found their way through. The gusts shook the umbrella, and the raindrops slipped in from the side, soaking my clothes in the end. The cold touch clinging to my body was uncomfortable, and when I realized there was no use in resisting, my mind naturally leaned toward resignation. Beneath the gray daytime sky, everything seemed blurred and damp, as if smudging away. In the pale gray scenery, I held my umbrella, yet the rain and wind kept seeping in. In that moment, a helpless thought crossed my mind: “I’ll end up soaked anyway.” Amid the discomfort, all that was left was resignation I had no choice but to accept.
