The Treasure of Rainbow Cove Captain Sunny and her crew weren’t ordinary pirates — they were kind pirates! Instead of huntin’ for gold and jewels, they searched the seas for lost toys, marbles, and shiny shells to share with children in every port. One bright morning, their parrot, Pickles, squawked loudly from the crow’s nest: “Shiny! Shiny! Over the waves!” The crew leaned over the rail and spotted a rainbow shining down on a faraway cove. They rowed their boat to shore and followed the rainbow’s end. There, hidden under palm leaves, was a treasure chest! But when they opened it, there weren’t gold coins inside. Instead, it was filled with crayons, storybooks, kites, and puzzles. “The best kind of treasure!” shouted Captain Sunny. They carried the chest back to their ship, the Friendship, and sailed from island to island, handing out the treasures to children who laughed, played, and waved as the pirates sailed away. From that day on, whenever kids saw a rainbow at sea, they hoped it would lead to Captain Sunny and the Friendship bringing a chest of joy. See more
