I created a visual metaphor that symbolizes the struggle of becoming independent while feeling alone. This triptych drawing shows all the struggles of independence, and responsibility experienced by the Creature in the novel Frankenstein by Mary Shelly, Antigone in Antigone by Sophocles, as well as Jojo in Sing Unburied Sing by Jesyman Ward. Each character shows different forms of struggle throughout their life, these individuals show independence throughout the novels expressing what paths they need to take in order to succeed with little to no guidance. Each character forms certain decisions as they learn to take care of themselves with no support. \ See more
