Materials and Content The Fragments: A used cardboard moving box will be cut into seven pieces to form a tangram puzzle. Each piece will represent one of the seven cities I have lived in. Label-printed photographs of me from different life stages will be affixed to the tangram pieces, representing memories and shifting identities. The Shadow: A blue IKEA bag will be cut into the shape of my walking shadow. This material, often used for carrying possessions, will represent the strength and continuous adaptation of a woman in diaspora. Assembly: The tangram, assembled to resemble a house, will be mounted on the wall with magnets, allowing it to be rearranged and reassembled by the viewer.
