From ancient tombs to royal palaces, our furry friends have always played an important role in human history! 🏺 Ancient Egypt Dogs were so loved by the Egyptians that many were mummified and buried with their owners to join them in the afterlife. 🐕 The Roman Army The Romans used dogs as war animals, often equipping them with armor to guard camps and even fight alongside soldiers. 🇯🇵 Loyal Hachikō In Japan, a dog named Hachikō became famous for waiting every day at the train station for his owner — even for nine years after his owner had passed away. A statue now honors him at Shibuya Station in Tokyo. 👑 Royal Companions Queen Elizabeth I had small lap dogs known as toy spaniels that were so adored they inspired the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel we know today. 🇷🇺 Space Dogs Before humans ventured into space, dogs paved the way.
