I have invented a spacetravel engine (came in a dream) it is based on the incandescent bulb/candle it has a fission rod core that is open to the partial vacuum of space, so it luminesces Stupid Bright, and throws off molecules and agitated fuel/waste into a stream, like a turbojet/ramjet it is made of carbon, carbon fiber, graphite, and diamonds to avoid radioactivation of the metals it has a parabolic/hyperbolic dish to deflect radiance and add propulsion and subtle steering i made a crude schematic (pencil, sorry) and was hoping you would both kick the tires of my idea as a physicist, so that it is more realistic, keeping in mind that magic and whimsy are both acceptable in my Verse so we don't NEED it to work, but i'd like to keep to science when possible, and also keep it fun would you please poke holes in my idea as appropo, and also please re-render my schematic to look like a NASA-style blueprint, tightening and perfecting the lines and also trading out my crudely lefthanded scrawl for legible font i want this to feel like a legit schematic, but with like 10% DouglasAdamsian ridiculousness also if there is even an iota of legitimacy to this idea that passed through me, I fully authorize you to share it with Real Scientists (who have souls, we're not fueling the SithLord imagination) i doubt its voracity, but hey, good ideas come from weird places give it a go you're the best See more
