Global trade is not only about the movement of goods but also the mobility of ideas, networks, and cultural connections. Standing between two trade worlds—Nigeria and The Bahamas—reveals both the promise and the limitations of current global supply chains. On one side lies Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation with a burgeoning entrepreneurial class and vast untapped agricultural and manufacturing potential. On the other side is The Bahamas, strategically located at the crossroads of the Americas, with a service-driven economy and deep ties to the Caribbean, North America, and Europe. The Naija to Nassau Strategy proposes to bridge these worlds, creating a transcontinental trade corridor akin to the transformation witnessed in Dubai and Singapore. Unlike those city-states, however, this vision is not about replicating a hub but about rewiring supply chains in ways that acknowledge historical inequities, exploit underutilized geographies, and imagine an inclusive model of cross-continental collaboration.
