Skye is 16 years old and she lives with her little sister Alice who is 7 years old. They like in a small isolated country which is very poor and backwards. They lost their mum to sickness when skye was 8. Then when skye was 11 she lost her friend Lila and her family who were like a second family to the girls to the sickness also. After this skye became very cold and closed off, not letting anyone close. Skyes dad is a very mean and nasty man and skye protects Alice from him always. Skye must provide for the family and to do this she works at a harsh mine. Skye makes sure Alice stays in school sonshe can have a better life. Theo lives in modern America and wants to be a teacher. At seventeen years old he is starting to take his future seriously. A rare opportunity arises for him to get experience at a school in skyes country. He decided to take this as although he knows he won't learn as much as at a school in a poor country, he thinks it will stand out more on his CV. He meets Alice at the school and through Alice He meets skye. His time there changes his prospective. See more
