painting reference: It's mountains. normal daytime, the atmosphere is foreboding. a storm is on the way. emphasis on "on the way". the colour in the bottom half is quite warm but as it gets to the mountain peaks, the rock, the snow and clouds it appears dark and foreboding. dark greens. we are looking at it as if at sea. the bottom 1/4 of the canvas would be the sea. at the horizon line, there will be the shore but instead of a beach, its rocky crags that lead almost instantly to huge overpowering mountains. there are some gaps between them but not many. these mountains continue far back. have at least 3 in the front though. think of the wildnerss of british coloumbia. colour pallete are mainly cool colours, but like not just greys or like shadows and stuff. i want it to look "creepy" but in a way that is not immiediately discirniple. like a smile but with too many teeth. j See more
