**Entry #20 — Addendum** Big news. Moved after dark and made my way back toward **The Nest** under cover. On the way, I spotted a survivor kneeling by a stream, dressed head to toe in green. He was drinking, rifle slung across his back. I kept my distance and watched for a minute — he looked alert, well-equipped. Decided not to risk contact and slipped away before he noticed me. Later, near the outskirts, I found an old military tent tossed beside an abandoned building — dry and still intact. Dragged it up onto the roof of **The Nest** and secured it tight. It’s now a weatherproof cache and quick-response point for whoever’s in the tower. Moved most rifles and handguns up there for faster access; kept ammo and magazines locked in the armory below, all counted and organized. No loose rounds on the roof — one noise at the wrong time could draw a crowd. Scavenged some building supplies — wood, metal brackets, nails — and picked up a small stash of ammo, a gun-cleaning kit for the hunting rifle, and more seeds for crops. Cleaned and oiled the rifle; it cycles smooth now. The house I’m holed in is quiet tonight. Tent’s lashed down, rifle ready, one round chambered. Tomorrow, I’ll reinforce the inner walls and check the perimeter again. **The Nest** is growing stronger — and so am I. See more
