I am an artist based in Manchester, England. My work explores the quiet tension between the ordinary and the surreal, through elongated, instinctive forms, empty landscapes, strange dreamscapes, and psychological narratives. I aim to evoke a feeling that is difficult to define: a subtle blend of nostalgia, unease, and childlike wonder. My focus when creating is always the emotional impact of the piece. Rather than building clear narratives, I work toward capturing a sensation- a moment of discomfort that feels both deeply personal and strangely universal. The atmosphere is often unsettling, yet playful and unpredictable, tapping into a space of half-remembered dreams, lonely memories, and quiet absurdities. Recurring motifs, such as cigarettes, snakes, the moon, are used as intuitive gestures, fragments of a mood rather than deliberate messages that need to be de-coded. Across my work, broader themes emerge: solitude, the uneasy dominance of technology on our lives, a grim but relatable outlook on the future, and an underlying sense of irony and dark humour. My paintings suggest a world where hope and melancholy coexist, where the absurdity of existence is met with a quiet, knowing shrug.
