Welcome to Dryhaven, a coastal community with a humid and hot climate. Despite them being next to an ocean of water, they lack the necessary tools to desalinate the water. They used to rely on the river that flowed into the ocean, but now, due to overuse of water upstream, the river just disappears into the sand several miles away from its original mouth. Farmers struggle from the lack of water. Their only source of income is selling black pine wood and nuts. Industries from upstream often pollute the water as well, so many people walk for several miles for polluted water. This leaves barely any time for anything else and often kills trees when it is used to water them. The entire area is extremely poor, and can barely afford the necessities. However, instead of helping the people here, when the government drafted an official legislature, they completely neglected the people of Dryhaven. One solution would be to make the industries move their trash to a specialized disposal facility, or find if other companies use the excess chemicals. The government could also give them a pump in the village or a desalination machine. There is no river at all. See more
