You're using an application that allows users to create and modify triangle-based models. create a blank female model. The female torso is basically a very simplified, rounded diamond, so start with a simple diamond shape. The first thing to do is shave off the bottom tip of the diamond to create a surface that fits into the hips. Then it’s simply a process of rounding off the outline. Place the modified diamond-shaped torso on top of a squashed oval. The oval represents the hips. Make sure the torso is placed slightly down inside of the hip area. Note that the bottom of the torso shape is quite thin. This is important! There should be no gradual widening from the waist to the hips—it's a sudden shift in shape. That abruptness, that lack of subtlety, is what you're looking for. The thighs wedge deeply up inside of the hip area and fill out all the room the hips can give them. See more
