Consequently, the objective is divided into Research Themes (RT) which starts by the groundwork from solid transcriptomic work assessing the cellular landscape of the interface between innate and adaptive immunity during rest and stimulation. From this it will be clear what the targets are - which will be fed into RT2. The RT2 will develop functional assays which enables us to quality check how the candidates from RT1 perform in vitro. In addition, will establish a versatile platform for screening libraries of synthetic molecules and bioactive marine extracts for novel activators of innate immune sensors in salmon and cod. Subsequently, in RT3, we will lay the groundwork for developing with life-long duration, while RT4 will combine knowledge acquired in RT1-3 to produce targeting nucleic-based vaccines, by a synthetic biology approach.
