Kirai stands, her now golden hair draping around her frame. Her still purple eyes look at her pale white skin as she is handed white robes When she walks into the dressing room, the door closes. Kirai looks at her face in disgust. “This isn’t you,” she says quietly to the mirror. “You are Kirai of the Herufaitāzu; you will not fall wimp to the angels.” But then she remembers Shinrai’s loving face and cries into the white robes. As she slips the white fabric over her red dress, Kirai feels her cruelty fleeing from her soul. Kirai walks out of the room and sees that she has walked into the angel city.
