A close-up of a surreal sculpture featuring a cracked, textured mouth with white teeth, filled with smooth gray and blue river stones, and clear resin tears dripping from the lips. Photorealistic style.

The sculpture is a large, sculptural mouth, about two feet wide, suspended or mounted on a simple pedestal at eye level. The lips are slightly parted, textured with fine cracks and rough patches, giving them a weathered, almost fragile appearance. The surface of the lips is matte, with subtle variations in color—muted earthy tones blending soft pinks, grays, and off-whites, as if the skin itself is dry and worn. Inside the open mouth sits a pile of smooth, rounded stones—river rocks in various shades of gray, blue, and white—crowding the tongue and teeth, pressing outward toward the lips as if threatening to spill free. The stones are polished and cold-looking, contrasting with the rough texture of the lips. A few stones are slipping from the corner of the mouth, caught in a moment of imminent escape, symbolizing the tension between silence and release. Some of the teeth are cracked or chipped, barely visible behind the stones, adding to the sense of damage and vulnerability. Tiny droplets of translucent resin, resembling tears, cling to the edges of the lips and trickle down the chin, catching the light like fragile crystals. The interior of the mouth is deep and shadowed, the dark recesses amplifying the feeling of something heavy and immovable lodged inside. Overall, the piece feels both powerful and fragile—like a silent scream held back by the weight of countless unspoken emotions See more
