We are organising a 5-day orientation for incoming and returning students of monash, below are some questions we asked a current student about his expectations from the o-week or what his past experience was like or what more would he prefer: Name: Shrikant (He is in his 3rd semester, doing his postgraduation in business and majoring in marketing) Following is a highlight from the story of the orientation week; Standout Moment 6: The Vision and the Victory On Day 5, the final day, the group gathered for the Vision Board & Goal-Setting Workshop. Shrikant sat with Chloe, armed with magazines, scissors, and glue. He thought back to Raj’s talk. He didn't just cut out a logo of a company; he cut out words: "Storyteller." "Innovator." "Global Team." Chloe helped him map out the small steps: join the Marketing Students' Society, attend networking events, aim for a specific internship by his second year. The future, once a terrifying fog, was now a colourful, tangible collage. That evening, at the O-Week Gala Night, music pulsed through the hall. Dressed up and feeling a world away from the nervous boy who had arrived on Monday, Shrikant stood with his friends. Then came the awards. “And the award for the Campus Discovery Challenge Champions goes to… The Riddle Masters!” Their team name, chosen in a moment of post-victory hubris, was called.
