As you read, sketch out the parts of the brain. Don’t try and draw an anatomically correct brain all at once…instead draw them separately but in relation to each other. You can sketch the parts metaphorically or more literally. More important than knowing exactly where in the brain a structure is, you need to know its function and how it interacts with the other brain structures (do the parts share space in the older area of the brain or is one in the cerebral cortex?). If you can identify where a structure is in relation to other structures you are good to go! So be sure your illustration highlights the way the various structures interact with each other more than it is an exact representation. See more
