Help me design an art room. It will be in the garden, in a custom made shed/ cabin/ wooden building thing. Like down the bottom of the garden. The front will be fully glass. Like bifold doors. So you can complete open up the front all the way across when it’s sunny. This will be the side that’s facing towards the house. Infront of those glass doors that open out will be a decking/ veranda, half covered with a canopy, half open or perhaps a table with an umbrella, allowing for art to be done outside in the sun. Inside the studio will be airy and spacious. A big easel in the centre of the room, with storage shelves down the left and side, then a big window on the right hand side and maybe some shorter/ smaller draws/ shelves under that window. The back wall will be covered with all the art that’s been made in the shed. It’s bright, airy, colourful and maybe a little bit messy, but in an artists space kind of way. And a skylight too. Make it 20ft wide. And the back wall is solid, with all the artwork hung. Do it from a zoomed out perspective, like were stood in the garden looking at it, so we can see the decking and canopy too. And a flat roof not triangle. See more
