Illustrated scene of people on a sea wall next to the ocean, with a grassy, wildflower-covered hill behind them.

Sea walls Substitute- Instead of a blank and plain sea wall, we could add flowers, grasses and other small plants at the top to create a habitat for small animals and make the air fresher Combine- We could combine the wall and a hotel to create a fun holiday destination and more of a purpose for everything living in the area e.g. people, animals, plants. Adapt- We could code the sea wall to rise when the tide is high and sink when the tide is low so that the people can still view the ocean when the tide isn’t too high Modify- We could add cool water features such as sprays, fountains and maybe even a kiddy pool Put to another use- We could turn the wall into an adventure playground for kids to play in. It could have touchy-feely things like sea stars, sponges and other small and safe sea creatures. Eliminate- We could take away the concrete and make it out of bamboo to create a more environmentally-friendly sea wall Reverse- We can rearrange the elements of the sea wall to create parts that are specific to various activities. This gives kids areas to explore, play and learn. We could make a climbing area, a water area and a rock pool area. See more
