This contrasts with the ugliness of the scene below. High-rise buildings are gutted open, large rubble has spilled from the buildings down into the streets, we can see into the floors inside. Here and there, through gaps and windows, we can see some light from campfires inside the buildings. Not all floors or buildings are occupied. People are huddled around the fires to keep warm and cook food, or repairing their clothes, rummaging through boxes, sharpening knives, some are holding lanterns and walking across the rope bridges, some are talking to eachother. They're all wastelanders, of every age and gender and race, depicted in mundane everyday survival and hardship. Their clothes are weathered, improvised, semi-repaired. Some have tattered blankets wrapped around themselves. Between ruined high-rise buildings, we occasionally see rope-bridges at various heights.
