Today's Activity: "My Gifts & Talents Tree" Today, you’re going to take some time to reflect on the special gifts and talents that make you you just like Punchinello did in the story. Start by drawing a tree on the paper provided to you by your teacher. On the trunk, write your name — this represents you as a whole. Be sure that your name is in large, bright, bold lettering! On the branches, write words or phrases that describe your gifts, talents, and qualities — the things that make you unique. (Examples: "I’m kind," "I’m a great friend," "I’m good at drawing," "I work hard, “I am a loyal friend,” "I’m good at solving problems," "I make people laugh," "I’m a good team player, " "I love learning new things", etc.") As you fill in your tree, remember: these aren’t just talents — they are gifts from God that help shape your identity and how you can help others.
