🔹 Base (the ground) Paint the bottom of the shoebox green to look like grass. Glue on some real grass or green construction paper pieces to give it a 3D effect. Use blue paint or paper to make a little lake or river in one corner—this is where they use their canoe! 🔹 Wigwam (the home) Use sticks and brown construction paper or bark to build a mini wigwam. Cut the paper into a dome shape and bend it over some sticks like a tent. Glue it down so it stands up inside the box. 🔹 Campfire Area Make a small campfire using little twigs in a circle. Use red, orange, and yellow construction paper to make paper flames. 🔹 Canoe Cut a small canoe shape out of brown paper or use a piece of bark. Place it near your lake or river area. 🔹 People and Decoration Cut out small people from construction paper. Give them little headbands or feather decorations. You can add beads or draw patterns on their clothes to make it look like Chippewa art. Decorate the background with trees, made from green and brown paper or small twigs. See more
