Rising dramatically on either side are two asymmetrical, cathedral-like towers constructed from weathered brass, iron filigree, and riveted copper plating. These structures lean slightly inward, connected high above by a slender, arched sky bridge crafted from interlocking brass cogs and tensioned steel cables. At the precise center of this bridge, suspended from an elaborate fixture of spiraling pipes and pressure gauges, hangs a large, polished bronze sphere. Etched deeply into its surface and wrapping horizontally around its circumference is the word "SYSTEM," catching the last amber light of the setting sun. Wisps of steam curl from vents on the buildings and the bridge supports, dissolving into the purpling twilight sky. See more
